The FCC approved Motorola E1070 is a RAZR-inspired clamshell cell phone that operates on GSM 900/1800/1900 and UMTS 2100 frequencies. It comes with twin cameras and screens, where the 1.3 megapixel camera has auto-focus and can shoot video while the internal VGA camera is meant for Video Calling. MP3 and MP4 support is included, with the ability to expand memory via the MicroSD slot. Connectivity to a PC is achieved via Bluetooth or the miniUSB cable. The E1070 will be available in Europe first via an Italian carrier.

Samsung’s newest 3D phone not only looks cool, but it takes pictures in full 3D glory as well! The 3D camera module is said to "offer realistic and immersive images", and is on a totally different level when compared to software technology that does a poor imitation of 3D images. Expect future mobile handsets that offer this feature in the future to cost a small fortune upon commercialization.

The Wizard runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 like all good smartphones should, and it features a slide-out keyboard – a design that’s getting more commonplace nowadays.

Finnish researchers have discovered a new way to secure mobile devices in the unfortunate event of theft. Sensors in the object in question – a cell phone, for instance, record a pattern that represents your walk and compares it to the current or most recent strides. A stolen or borrowed phone will secure the phone automatically, requiring a PIN code activation or voice match to unlock it. There is a 90% success rate when using this device. It is one of the many ways that could be used to combat the phone theft pandemic across Europe.

The telephone had long been off limits to the deaf and dumb community, but technology has advanced to such a state where video calling features will build a bridge between the rest of the world and this special lot. The WVP 2100 Internet Video Phone can be connected to a USB keyboard in order to chat with someone. Incoming calls will show up in a portable cordless pager-type device that is lugged around, with the small screen displaying the called ID as well.
