Sharp’s latest offering, the W-ZERO3 PDA Phone comes in a slider form factor and a huge 3.7” 640x480 touchscreen LCD that can display up to 65,000 colors. That’s almost as huge as the QWERTY keyboard stored beneath when closed. You get 128MB of memory, a 1.3 megapixel camera, an Intel PXA270 416Mhz processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity, a miniSD card slot, and Windows Mobile 5.0 (Japanese Edition). It measures 70 x 130 x 36mm and weighs 220g. No word on whether it’ll make it to the US, so keep your fingers crossed.

Check out this concept cell phone that incorporates the latest and greatest of modern technologies. The entire face surface is constructed from a color sensor display. While the standard position of the phone is vertical, it can be turned horizontally when you want to watch video. Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity allows synchronization with your PC, while the fuel-cell based battery ensures adequate talk time before running out of juice. You just recharge the battery by placing it in a special wireless pad.

If you’re paranoid of your cell phone’s safety, then make the effort to purchase these waterproof/dust-proof/sand-proof phone cases from Aquapac. Life goes on normally when these phones are encased by Aquapac cases – it will not interfere with sound and signals during use. A huge plus point would be the airtight seal that floats your phone should it fall into a pool of water – great for butterfingers like me who tend to drop my phone wherever I go.
