Nokia 6165i clamshell phone has external antenna
FCC documents have shed some light on the new Nokia 6165i clamshell phone. This dual-band CDMA 800/1900 and AMPS 800 compatible phone reverts to an external stub antenna design. Expect Sprint PCS to carry this model as the 6165i’s manual has the Sprint logo plastered all over it. The 6165i features an internal 262k color TFT display and an external 65k color display, a 1-megapixel camera with LED flash, 16MB of built-in memory, Bluetooth, IrDA, and USB connectivity. Samsung SGH-D600 improves on predecessor
Samsung refreshed their award–winning D500 model with the release of the SGH-D600. While both phones look alike at first glance from the sleek, black finish and a slider form factor, the D600 comes with a slew of improvements over its predecessor. The D600 features stereo Bluetooth support, a 2-megapixel camera, a TransFlash/microSD card slot, and a new QVGA display for greater clarity. Too bad the T9 predictive text input system has not been improved upon, being as sluggish as before. Via Mobile Burn

Monitor Your Kids With the i-Kids GPS Handset

mTrack has launched their GPS child-finder cellphone, the i-Kids mobile. It can track your child's location with accuracy up to 5 meters accuracy via satellite. The gadget works like a normal phone, receiving calls and text messages with programmable buttons and an emergency button for the child to press which dials all four programmed numbers until it connects. The GPS function still works even if the i-Kids handset is switched off. You can set up "safety zones" and receive alerts if your kid leaves a zone. Via Gadget Review
