Eten’s past iterations of Pocket PC phones have been above average, so we’re really looking forward to the upcoming G500. It features integrated GPS and unofficial sources cite a March release date. The G500 shares the same specs as the M600 save for the missing WiFi – which is most probably replaced by the GPS module. Check out the features after the jump. Via

NTT West of Japan will introduce the Hikari Personal Phone (HPP) on January 16. The HPP provides IP telephony functions via the 802.11b network, utilizing NTT West Japan’s Hikari Phone IP service that takes up the 0AB ~ J numbers. You can have multiple phone numbers on a single line that can be used simultaneously. Data transfer to a PC can be performed via the HPP’s USB 2.0 port. The HPP measures 43 x 20 x 130mm, weighs 102g, stores up to 300 entries, and provides up to 3 hours’ worth of talk time and 55 hours of standby time. Via

The T800 Pocket PC phone series by Fujitsu-Siemens will be released officially on July 3 and July 15. Both the T810 and T830 share the same specs, from the Intel XScale 416MHz processor, 64MB RAM, and 128MB ROM to its integrated GPS functionality. Its features and specs will most probably outmuscle the iPAQ hw6900 when released. The T830 differs from the T810 in one aspect though – the former sports a 2 megapixel digital camera to capture those precious moments while you’re on the go. Via

The upcoming Symbian-powered Sony Ericsson P990 is a powerhouse in the smartphone world when released, while its lesser brother comes the form of the Sony Ericsson P970. The Blackberry-inspired design on the P970 makes it look like a dull brick, although it does have some pretty decent functions including a megapixel camera. Look out for the P970 before the first quarter of 2006 is over.
